How we write
Answer first
Every article opens with a short answer. If the answer is "call your vet now", we say so before anything else.
Sources
We rely on veterinary references and institutions, such as the Merck Veterinary Manual, veterinary schools, veterinary hospital groups, the ASPCA Animal Poison Control Center and peer-reviewed studies. Every article lists the sources it used. We do not invent figures, studies or quotes; when the evidence is thin, we say that it is thin.
Health claims
We do not claim that any food, product or home remedy cures or treats a disease. Doses of human or veterinary medicines are only given when a veterinary source publishes them, and always with the advice to confirm with your own vet.
Products
Most articles mention no product at all. Last News is published by the team behind Pure Majesty Pets; when one of its products is relevant, the article names it as our sister brand. We do not accept payment from other companies to appear in articles.
Corrections
When we get something wrong or the evidence changes, we update the article and show the updated date at the top.
